CLOUD SPF 50 lotion is clean, blends in clear, with less waste and no messy hands. UV radiation from the sun is responsible for up to 80% of visible skin aging! Make CLOUD Sunscreen to become a part of your daily routine. If you’re spending any money on sereum, moisturizers, or anti-aging skincare products and you’re not using SPF, you’re wasting money.
Non-Nano Zinc Oxide. Reef Safe. No Silicone. No Hidden Chemicals. No Bio-Accumulators. No Silicone Silicone feels great to apply. Unfortunately, it’s a bioaccumulator. What does that mean? If you swim in the ocean, the tiny pieces of silicone that you can’t see with your eyes, wash off your body and into the water. It accumulates and doesn’t biodegrade.
Many sunscreens add a chemical booster named Butlyoctyl Salicylate yet they claim it’s all mineral based. Not CLOUD. A true, 25% zinc oxide, all mineral based formulation.
Matte clear finish with moisturizing properties. Hydrate while protecting your skin from damaging UV rays.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients
- Zinc Oxide 25%
Inactive Ingredients
- Allantoin – A soothing agent that helps to protect and heal the skin, reducing irritation and promoting cell regeneration.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice – the liquid derived from the leaves of the Aloe vera plant (scientific name: Aloe barbadensis). It’s one of the most common ingredients you’ll see in skin care. Mostly water (about 99%), but the remaining 1% contains a mix of bioactive compounds. Key constituents include vitamins (A, C, E, B12, folic acid), minerals (calcium, magnesium, zinc), amino acids, enzymes, and polysaccharides. Helps hydrate the skin thanks to its high water content and humectant properties.
- C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate – An emollient that provides a smooth texture to formulations and helps to improve the spreadability of products on the skin.
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride – A skin-conditioning agent derived from coconut oil, commonly used as a moisturizer and to improve the texture of the product.
- Cetearyl Alcohol – a fatty alcohol that comes from a mixture of cetyl alcohol (C16) and stearyl alcohol (C18). Unlike “regular” alcohols like ethanol or isopropyl (which can dry or irritate skin), fatty alcohols are non-drying, waxy emollients widely used in skincare, haircare, and cosmetics.
- Cetearyl Glucoside – a plant-derived, non-ionic emulsifier made by combining cetearyl alcohol (a fatty alcohol from natural oils) with glucose (sugar). It is widely used in skincare, haircare, and cosmetic formulations to help oil and water mix smoothly and to stabilize emulsions.
- Citric Acid – a weak organic acid naturally found in citrus fruits like lemons, limes, and oranges. Used as a pH adjuster in creams, shampoos, cleansers, and serums. Functions as a mild exfoliant (alpha hydroxy acid, AHA) to brighten skin and improve texture. Often combined with other AHAs for anti-aging and skin-renewal products.
- Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Fruit Extract – a botanical extract derived from the fruit of the watermelon plant (Citrullus lanatus). In cosmetics and skincare, it’s valued for its hydrating, antioxidant, and soothing properties, thanks to its naturally rich composition of vitamins, amino acids, and phytonutrients.
- Coco-Caprylate – a natural, plant-derived emollient made from coconut alcohols and caprylic acid (a medium-chain fatty acid). It is widely used in cosmetics and personal care products as a lightweight, fast-spreading alternative to silicones.
- Decyl Glucoside – a plant-derived, non-ionic surfactant made by combining decyl alcohol (a fatty alcohol usually from coconut or palm oil) with glucose (sugar, typically from corn). It’s one of the mildest cleansers used in cosmetics and personal care products, making it especially popular in natural and baby formulations. Provides gentle but effective cleansing. Ideal for sensitive and dry skin.
- Dodecane – a saturated hydrocarbon (alkane). Functions as an emollient and texture enhancer. Provides a light, silky, non-greasy skin feel. Improves spreadability in sunscreens, makeup, and lotions.
- Glycerin – a simple polyol (sugar alcohol) compound. One of the most common humectants (draws water into the outer skin layer, helping hydration). Improves skin softness, elasticity, and barrier function. Reduces dryness in creams, lotions, serums, soaps, and cleansers. Works synergistically with other moisturizers (like hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA).
- Glyceryl Caprylate – It’s a multifunctional ingredient in cosmetics and personal care products, valued for its skin-conditioning, co-emulsifying, and antimicrobial properties.
- Glyceryl Stearate – An emulsifier and surfactant that helps mix ingredients and enhances the texture of a formulation.
- Glyceryl Undecylenate – a natural-derived emollient + emulsifier + antimicrobial—widely used in eco-friendly skincare and haircare to improve texture, stability, and protection.
- Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract – a botanical extract obtained from lentils (Lens esculenta or Lens culinaris). In cosmetics and skincare, it is valued for its hydrating, sebum-regulating, and pore-minimizing properties, thanks to its natural composition of sugars, proteins, vitamins, and polyphenols.
- Polyhydroxystearic Acid – a biodegradable polymer derived from hydroxystearic acid, a modified form of stearic acid (a naturally occurring fatty acid). In cosmetics and personal care products, it’s primarily used as a dispersing agent, emulsifier, and stabilizer, especially in formulations that contain pigments, sunscreens, or mineral particles (like zinc oxide !).
- Propanediol – A humectant used to hydrate the skin and improve the absorption of other ingredients in the formulation.
- Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract – A natural plant extract derived from apples. In cosmetics and personal care products, it’s valued for its antioxidant, skin-conditioning, and exfoliating properties.
- Sodium Hyaluronate – A form of hyaluronic acid that is excellent at drawing water into the skin, providing intense hydration.
- Sodium Lactate – the sodium salt of lactic acid (a natural organic acid produced during the fermentation of sugars, and also found in the body as part of normal metabolism). It’s a clear, water-soluble liquid or powder that’s widely used in food, cosmetics, and medicine because it acts as a humectant, moisturizer, pH regulator, and preservative enhancer.
- Sodium PCA -the sodium salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, which is a naturally occurring derivative of the amino acid proline. It’s widely used in cosmetics and skincare because it’s an excellent humectant—meaning it helps the skin hold onto water. Anti-Aging Benefits – By preventing dehydration, it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and dryness-related wrinkles.
- Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate – a mild, biodegradable surfactant and emulsifier made from natural fatty acids (like stearic acid) and glutamic acid (an amino acid). It’s commonly used in cosmetics, skincare, and personal care products to help oil and water mix smoothly.
- Squalane – A moisturizing agent that helps to hydrate and lock in moisture.
- Stearic Acid – A fatty acid that forms in nature, which acts as an emulsifier (helps oil and water mix), works as a thickener and stabilizer in creams, lotions, soaps, and makeup, and helps give products a smooth, rich texture.
- Tocopheryl Acetate – a form of vitamin E, specifically the ester of acetic acid and tocopherol (vitamin E alcohol form). It’s widely used in skincare, cosmetics, and dietary supplements because it is more stable than pure vitamin E (tocopherol), which can degrade quickly when exposed to light, air, or heat.
- Water – It’s one of the most common solvent in skincare formulations, used as a base for mixing other ingredients.
- Xanthan Gum – a thickener, stabilizer, and emulsifier (commonly used in food).
